In the plastic flexible packaging industry, gravure printing and digital printing are the two most widely used printing technologies. They differ significantly in working principles, production efficiency, cost structure and application scenarios, catering to customized plastic bag orders of different batch sizes and requirements.

►Gravure Printing
Gravure Printing is a traditional high-end printing method using engraved metal cylinders to transfer ink. It provides stable color and high precision, suitable for mass production.
●Advantages:
◇Rich and saturated color, ideal for food, daily chemical and premium brand packaging
◇High printing speed, low cost for large quantities
◇Scratch-resistant and durable for laminated bags and vacuum bags
●Disadvantages:
◇High plate-making cost, not economical for small orders
◇High MOQ, slow plate changing, not suitable for fast sampling

►Digital Printing
Digital printing requires no plates; files are printed directly from computer. Perfect for small batches, multiple designs and urgent orders.
●Advantages:
◇No plate needed, fast proofing and short lead time
◇Low cost for small batches, supports multiple patterns & versions
◇Highly flexible, great for new product testing and cross-border small orders
●Disadvantages:
◇Slightly lower color saturation than rotogravure in large areas
◇Unit cost higher than rotogravure for very large orders
